Hopeful news to share! Our final design revisions are in process, our financial model is updated and under review, and our prospective builder is revising their construction budget. SDSU administrators remain interested and encouraging with their offers to collaborate and share ideas across housing, finance, real estate development, and commercial departments of the university. Our staff and program planning are developing detailed plans to operate our planned campus ministry center.
Deep thanks are due to all of you who pledged to this project long before Covid and inflation had their ways with us, plus a few who pledged since then or who even doubled their pledges. Thank you! We still need several hundred thousand dollars to make our goal, so please let us know if you would like to be part of this once in a lifetime opportunity: to call and raise up the next generations of emerging leaders through this vision of a residential community for up to 50, and a campus outreach that celebrates students.
And profound thanks are due to the Pacifica Synod of the ELCA and the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, without whom there would not be a truly inclusive campus ministry in San Diego. Thank you all!
I look forward to celebrations already tentatively being planned which we trust we can announce soon… We hope to break ground yet this very spring…so please stay tuned for more good news!
