For many students in the 1990s, college was a season of discovery that extended far beyond the classroom. They arrived on campus carrying questions about vocation, identity, relationships, and purpose, often far from home and navigating new freedoms and responsibilities. Within our faith community, they found a place where they could be fully known and fully welcomed. Weekly worship, late-night conversations, retreats, service projects, and shared meals created a foundation of belonging that helped students explore both their faith and their future. In a rapidly changing world, the community offered a steady reminder that they were loved by God and called to lives of meaning and service.
The impact of those years continues to be seen decades later. Former students have gone on to become teachers, healthcare professionals, scientists, clergy, business leaders, public servants, and parents, carrying with them lessons learned through friendship, prayer, and faithful discernment. Many reflect on their time in the community as a turning point that shaped not only their careers but also their understanding of leadership, compassion, and integrity. The relationships formed and values nurtured during those college years became a compass for life, demonstrating how a faithful campus ministry can influence generations long after graduation day.
