Open House

Beginning our third year as members of the UC San Diego community, we hosted an Open House of the Center for Ethics and Spirituality (CES) to a wild response.
To kick off Triton Weeks of Welcome, CES hosted an Open House where Agape welcoming nearly 100 students into a vibrant community of curiosity, connection, and conversation. We're so grateful for support from the team at Campus Life. We created the event as an opportunity for students to discover a place where they can explore life’s biggest questions, questions about meaning, purpose, faith, justice, identity, and what it means to live a meaningful life. The enthusiastic response reminded us how important it is to create spaces on campus where students feel invited to wonder, reflect, and engage these questions together.
Our Open House reflected the heart of our mission: creating a safe, welcoming, and affirming community where students can bring their questions, doubts, hopes, and convictions without fear of judgment. We believe that asking big questions is not something we have to do alone. By gathering nearly 100 students around food, conversation, and community, we were able to introduce students to a space where they can grow in relationship with one another, explore their values and spirituality, and discover that meaningful questions can become pathways toward deeper community and connection.
